So we are coming to the end of October 2020. Little Happy Hounds has had a very good month, our best since after lockdown so big thanks to all our clients who have used our services. Its not happy time for me as I am so concerned with corona like a lot of people, its currently rising in the UK, and I suspect a lockdown is coming again!!
Back to this month, we had lots of fabulous walks, most of October we had lovely autumnal weather, but this last week has a been a exceptionally wet one indeed, I have done lots of cat sitting work as well this month, new cats, mum Gracie sons Zak and George, Fridgey ad Lupo and Ole and Tintin, all those cat sitting visits where in Chapel-en-le-Frith and Chinley which are very much areas I cover for pet sitting services, I also cover Buxworth.
So we welcomed back Finn the sprocker spaniel and Monty the cocker spaniel in October, sadly we said good bye to Toby Bichon, he is moving out the area, that was a few weeks back his owner came back last week for the day and she got me to walk Toby again, we also walked Milly lovely labradoole, been my client since 2014. Covid-19 meant her own took early retirement and let me go well they let my regular arrangement go and said I would be walking Milly ad-hoc if I can fit her in and I did, was odd walking her as an entire 7 months had passed !!
End of September we heard that Ruby a dog walking client I use to walk died, for five years I walked two doggies a rescue small dog called Ruby and her GSD, German shepherd sister Amy , anyway they where getting old, Ruby ran away from one of my walks much earlier in the year and we agreed the girls should go !!! So I was totally amicable I stayed in touch with their owner, and that how I heard about Ruby’s passing, I was very sad at that news, she was a lovely dog they rescued her off the streets, and obviously for five years I walked her I was attached as ever, so anyway the help her with her grief Amy German shepherd came back for a walk once a week sometimes once a fortnight, as she is old and some weeks she has hydrotherapy and that coupled with one of my walks is to much for her, but so far so good, she is a lovely dog she loves all my other clients so its nice to have her back I didn’t think I would see them again, Amy is amazing as when I started walking her I didn’t have good experiences of German shepherds, my dog hated them and Amy single handily won us both around, the we lived in New Mills, my dog was attacked by GSD and he never really got over it, he was fine but it wasn’t a good experience, anyway so yes Amy is back and we treasure all our old memories of our walks with Ruby, RIP Ruby forever in our hearts little sweet girl !
