What a week.

I have had a horrible week and very nice week. Firstly the town I lived and still work in Whaley Bridge is under threat, the dam at the beautiful Toddbrook Reservoir is in danger of breeching causing flood and no doubt devasting the town, we had a hell of a of rain Wednesday, Thursday morning I was up on Taxal Edge dog walking I looked down at Toodbrook in the distance and noted our full up it looked.

As I get to lower Macclesfield road police everywhere they were shutting the roads off my gut instinct told me it was the dam I was then driving back into Chapel-en-le-Frith, never seen so many police cars going other way towards Whaley. Scary stuff actually very surreal entire town is evacuated in the lower levels higher levels are now cut off with the risk of flood roads have been closed. For work depending what happens I am looking at a dead week next week, I can’t think ahead more than that, you wont catch me anywhere near Whaley Bridge when is under this kind of flood risk. We will just have to sit back and hope for the best outcome which is they drain Dam as much as possible to fix the damage and it doesn’t burst and flood the town. I have heard someone lost the sale on their house, even though they were up hill from the dam, which made us feel very lucky as we moved a mere few months ago to Chinley a few miles up the road from Whaley.

So before all this drama i took on and dog walked two amazing new dog walking clients, then I heard the news that two other very sweet long term clients are leaving me to start a new life in Scotland, I knew it was on the cards had dropped hints and I had done the maths, but to here it was a shock, sad times, some enough of the bitter now for some of sweet.

We have two new dog walking clients both Chapel-en-le–Frith,  Miss Gracie, a young cockapoo three days a week and the fabulous Toby just once a week, he is a cavestie, King Charles cavalier x westie so cute he is over one years old, anyway walked him juts once and he is such a lovely boy, fitted right in, and I have now walked Gracie three times also a angel although she is going through puppy adolescence at the same time as joining me so she is keeping me on my toes.

Little Happy Hounds, dog walker, cat sitting and puppy visits based in Chinley the Peak District, we over Chinley, Buxworth, Whaley, and Chapel-en-le-Frith, High Peak.
