end of a busy week of mixed blessings.

Phew, its now Saturday we have had a week of extreme weather and if you work outdoors it can really take it out of you. Its also been a week of lovely very happy things happening like new clients or returning cat sitting clients making bookings. Its also been a sad week when we learnt one of our own has passed away over too rainbow bridge.

We have had some lovely dog friendly dog nature walks this week, I have been up Lantern Pike, Hayfield, Taxal, Eccles Pike Chapel-en-le-Frith, we have had rainy days freezing cold days and sunny days. The first good news is Pippa the westie puppy joined our dog walks. I delayed her because of weather and her age and size, but with the new puppy joining us and his owners saying he can walk a mile, I calculated my walks are just over a mile, plus I did not think Pippa was thriving sat at home while I collected her brother for his walk, anyway I took her out and she is amazing, off lead already as I assessed she stays close too her brother, she is curious puppy, all my Whaley Bridge morning dogs love her, she is well mannered with them, she is a tiny little thing but wow she is so confident the best part is when we stop for treats or whatever she starts rolling about on the grass and I have learnt from my own dog that generally means she is very happy.

This week we took on two new clients, a puppy joining us from Monday and a dog that lives on my street that I walked on Wednesday. The puppy is Norfolk Terrier and the dog on my street is a beautiful cockerspaniel.  Then this week we also found out a client of ours, ex client, died, she was more than just a client too me, when she left last year, for understandable reasons might I had, it took a while for me too adjust as she had been client of ours since the beginning the quiet days of Little Happy Hounds, anyway I kept in touch, I emailed owner not that long ago too check how she was as she had some kind of liver disease, so she was on borrowed time. Anyway she was a tiny grey Shih Tzu dog with tons of personality as her dog walker I have so many fabulous memories, my dog Scrappy adored her and she just followed him around on walks,  rest in peace in Holly doggy. The end of an era for us at Little Happy Hounds, she will be missed.

I  have had a good weekend I cat visited Minuit Saturday night and Sunday morning, yesterday I looked after my cavapoo client Oscar for the day, we had a really nice family walk at Fernilee Reservoir and today we went shopping in Buxton, took Scrappy of course and he did a few laps around the Pavilion Gardens the park in Buxton we wanted too go up Solomons Temple but I did not put  my wellies, whoops, and I was in new trainers.
