so end of a busy week and the weekend off. Last week was great lots of nice dog walks, however my car was a little bit problematic, I ran over screw on the ground at Fernilee Reservoir with the first lot of Whaley Bridge, dogs on Thursday , anyway that was the one decent tyre on the car so in the end all four had to be replaced and we realised the break pads needed replacing, so in the end a very expensive week for the work car however it needed doing so I am happy thats its done.
So did various walks last week, took the Whaley Bridge clients to Combs Reservoir, Toddbrook Reservoir and Taxal. Then the lunch time walk I do which is combination of Chinley, Chapel-en-le-Frith and Birch Vale doggy clients we did Hayfield woods and when it finally rained we went up Lantern Pike. The walks the last few weeks have reflected the weather we have had in the High Peak with the heatwave, so lots of shade and wooded walks with rivers and reservoirs near by. I freeze water the night before work, and it slowly defrosts I mix it with another bottle of water to make sure the dogs have a cold drink when we get back to the car. As a dog walker hot weather is not easy, the dogs can be narky and not listing and of course keeping them cool and safe is of the upmost of importance.
We have took a few bookings recently for cat sitting and had a few dog walking enquiries, I am being careful now what ai agree to we have very little room for new clients, especially dogs so just a few spots on key days.
