Six years of LHH in August

So we offer dog nature walks, proper hiking adventures for our dog walking clients. We walk in small groups, I often take the dogs to Fernilee, in the Goyt Valley not far from Whaley Bridge, we also do dog friendly walks in Hayfield and Chapel-en-le-Frith. As a dog walker, I walk the dogs for an hour on a quieter day we will do longer walks and not charge any extra, I do not include the driving and picking up dropping off within the hour so I am sometimes with my dogs for two hours.

The business began back in New Mills, I was going from one disastrous baldy paid job to another, I first though  about it in 2010 but it would take another two years before I was brave enough to stop being employed and to create a job for myself to become self employed. My inspiration was my dog and all the care he needs, when I needed a puppy visit service back in 2009 I struggled to find anyone the only reputable business would not deal with him as he was not toilet trained at three months old ! I now provide a puppy visit for young puppies from 8 weeks old caring for them in their homes, keeping them company, proving some basic training, socialising, and advice for their owners. We now have clients in many places, Whaley Bridge, Chinley, Furness Vale, NewMills, Birch Vale, Chapel-en-le-Frith and Buxworth

I do three one hour daily walks, the collection times are roughly 10 am, for walk 1 , 12pm for walk 2 and walk 3 at about 2:30 pm. The first two walks are popular I do have a few spare walking times, the last walk there is always space for a extra dog walking client! We have provided our pet care services in the High Peak since 2012, we have a proven track record of reliability care and quality. I have successfully run the business with little thought about profit but rather providing the best personalised care, I think of my clients as one big family when I am with my cat sitting and dog walking clients and look after them as if they were my own pet ! I do many walks and often change my routs locations throughout the year to avoid, nesting season, cattle and sheep, and during holiday times busy touristy places, as we do live in such a beautiful county, in the Peak District. Little Happy Hounds, is fully insured, a trusted key holder, CRB checked.
