So I have plans for Little Happy Hounds for 2019. I have been trying to get use to all the extra driving I am doing due to traffic increase in this area, however after months of thinking, I have decided to centralise the business. Focus our pet care services in and around Whaley Bridge were we are based, so as of next year, we will not be covering the New Mills, vicinity. We will just be covering Whaley Bridge, Chinley, Buxworth, Chapel-en-le-Frith, and Furness Vale High Peak. My other plan having drove a estate car for years I am getting a van with some cages. This is because I have some clients that are not keeping still in the car despite being harnessed in. I just did need to find the time to go van hunting. its my project in time for the new year ! We have room for new cat sitting clients, however with just five weeks left to Christmas, I am not going to be taking new clients until the New Year. We are closed for two weeks over Christmas, dog walking wise again we will not be taking new dogs till the New Year and as a small business with just myself as chief dog walker, I have to be very picky who I take on, as it has to gel with the others but also I have very few spaces, a lot depends on days and times, and location.
I have been a dog walker in High Peak since 2012, I started Little Happy Hounds, when we lived in New Mills, then in 2014 we moved to Whaley Bridge, during our six years plus, we have stuck to the same principles, walking in small groups, off leads when its safe to do so. I prefer walking off the beaten track, quiet locations, interesting places to the take the dogs in around the Peak District. I use positive training for the dogs, praise based training, I try often to practice recall on our walks, calling the dogs back, rewarding with praise and treats. When my dogs are naughty which is a rarity say they just are not listing and were we are walking his busier than usual I put the, on leads, so they understand that to be the punishment for deaf ears, I hope, I am not dog trainer, I just use common sense, combined with years of dog walking experience. Little Happy Hounds, pet care services, pet sitting, dog walking, puppy visits.
