So we are two days away from Christmas, my las two walks were yesterday Friday and today I just have some paper work I want too catch up with me before I finish work for the Christmas break. Im taking two weeks off to get a proper break and returning too work from 8th of January.
So yesterday we had quite a few dog walking clients off so I condensed walks to save me doing three one hour walks instead we did two as I was exhausted but also everyone is off work, the traffic has been challenging. I went two of my favourite dog friendly walks, My first walk was just lovely cocker spaniel George, he has been my Friday only client since he was puppy since 2014, now he has gone up too three days so for the last few weeks in December and into next year we will be seeing a lot more of him, and also we were walking my very full time cockapoo sisters Bobbie and Bridie, clients since they were tiny puppies. We did a. full one hours walk in Taxal, as its near my home near their home, its always nice and quiet up there its mostly moorland.
After that walk we picked up my doggy Scrappy, I dropped George Bobbie and Bridie home and we started collecting the dogs for walk 2. So as its winter I have been going up the snake path Hayfield a lot with the dogs, its sheep free cow free at the moment, and we get up as far as the moorland bit were the shooting cabin is, it was of course busier yesterday with everyone off work we saw a lot of dogs on leads, so with squeak of tennis ball and a shake of my treat box I was able too get my client in and give the dogs stuck on leads a wide birth. We had lovely walk it was incredibly foggy up there, I love taking the dogs up there as its steep, varied terrain from grassy fields, too rugged Moorland, we obviously avoid it during March and July as its nesting season up the moors, and when there are sheep in the fields I don’t bother either, my clients safety and wellbeing on my walks is my number one priority at all times.
