My end of June, has come early, as i am off on my holidays tomorrow, so closed Little Happy Hounds down ( with advance notice for my clients) we start back up from 3rd of July ! Its been a great month, i think there have been more changes than i saw coming, two of my full time casual dog walking clients have taken time off, so i was worried about that but i have done the books and i am home and dry. We started the first few weeks of June with a lot of cat sitting bookings, then we have had some lovely walks, Fernilee Reservoir, Lantern Pike, Toddbrook, I have been avoiding Eccles Pike and will continue to do so as it has gotten busier and popular especially with other dog walkers, ones want to avoid who seem hell bent on keeping their dogs on leads, as ever my dog walking service, means dogs off leads, when it is safe to do so, i walk away from cattle, i have just one client on my books who has to be on a lead, runaway Ruby, love her so much i don’t mind, plus she is ace on a lead. As a dog walker, I ofter dog nature walks, time of lead, maximum exercise, to roam safely sniff and explore the Peak District.
So as we approach the summer holidays, I am hoping to take on new cat sitting clients and possibly new dog walking clients, the latter depends on what people are looking for, my last enquiries have been, a Saturday only walk, a 6 pm only walk or a dog client in Marple all of which sadly is a no, for my current clients i am always flexible, and i will of course walk them at the weekend if i am free, but i won’t commit to a dog that only has that day, i need to have a life outside of work. Same with 6 pm, often in my pyjamas by then, my last walk is about 3 pm and we do have a vacancy on that walk. As for Marple, what can i say accept we are in Whaley Bridge Derbyshire, we just cover High Peak areas near by, so we have a wide range of regular and long term clients in Whaley Bridge, New Mills, Furness Vale, Chinley, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Hayfield, Buxworth.
