So no cat sitting clients booked in this weekend. Yesterday I had my labradoodle dog walking client Millie booked in for a Saturday walk. For ages we have wanted too visit the dog friendly day at Lyme Park gardens. Lyme Park is over the boarder in Disley Cheshire but its not far from New Mills or Whaley Bridge, High Peak Derbyshire.
Basically once a month they open the gardens up too our canine friends, as previously you where just allowed around the estate with dogs but no were near Lyme Hall and the gardens. It was great it is autumn so the flower beds were naked, but we plan to go next summer. My friend another dog walker also in Whaley Bridge came with her dog and her partner and we had a great day out, we walked over from the cage, so dogs had plenty time off lead, as once your in the gardens is strictly dogs on leads, it was busy full of kids so I think thats fair enough. We walked around the gardens, visited the orangery, I am fan of their very old Camellia plant in there. Took lots of pics of our three dogs pausing on the stone steps, eventually we found table on the grassy bit of lawn, Lyme Hall in the backdrop and we were over looking the pond. So we bought a coffee, not the best coffee in the world, it has to be said. They charged £7.00 to go into the garden, I think if you go and spend the day their looking at the plants maybe picnicking on the grass in summer its not too expensive. It was beautiful weather yesterday for October the air has gone very mild, so all in all it was a great doggy dayout, my lucky client Millie got a four hour walk.
Its a walk I would not do with my regular doggy clients my Monday to Fridays walks, it was more leisurely day out for myself at the weekend, I don’t really call taking mt labradoodle client out with my friends on a Saturday walk ! We have far too much fun for that !! And she is the sweetest dog in fact all three of them were little angels yesterday.
other areas we cover include Birch Vale, Furness Vale, Buxworth.
