A rather challenging first week back, weather wise. We lots of rain one day, another day really high winds, and then we had snow ! After spending a week in North Wales on holiday over New Year were it just drizzled and got cold a few times, it was a shock to the old system.
So new dog Arthur started his walks with us, and so far so good. At the moment, without taking on assistant i physically can’t take on anymore dog walking clients. I am thinking I need someone to come and work for me on a Wednesday initially, assisting me, but until i can physically sit down and design all the paper work needed, at the moment its just an idea, sadly the people who have contacted me for employment in the last four years, have sent one sentence emails, most the time i don’t even respond, as the bare minimum for any job, is a covering letter and CV, for Little Happy Hounds, i won’t accept anything less.
So at the moment, we are looking at growing the pet sitting side of the business. Cat feeding, predominately, however we have cared for smaller pets, like Guinea pigs, a fave of mine, I have looked after rabbits, a degu, and some indian running ducks. The pet sitting work i do, is at the clients homes, i pop in basically, follow instruction, provide care. Its a personalised service so it can vary a lot of what i do, feeding, changing water, some cats request a morning visit and a pm visit some just want one visit a day, I have cat clients, i brush, i play with, cats that like to sit on my knee and cats that like to hide. I have elderly cat clients and i am experienced and fully insured to administrate medication.
