Its been a great May Bank Holiday for me, had a bit of time off to recharge my batteries, was feeling exhausted last week. Work had been hectic last week and I was busy all last weekend as well and it all caught up with me.
I did work yesterday, briefly and it was more leisure than work, we had a two hour walk around Lyme Park with my dog walking clients Amy and Ruby and my dog Scrappy, it was lovely, however we had every imaginable weather, rain, not quite hail but not quite rain, showers, sunshine.
Also took several cat sitting or cat feeding bookings this weekend, one for cats I have cared for before in Hayfield this coming weekend and a two week cat feeding gig over in New Mills for June.
We now have cat sitting bookings for May, June, and July. With cat sitting I always have availability in my area, the only time I can not do it is when I am on holiday! With cat sitting I cover Whaley Bridge, Chinley, Kettleshulme, Furness Vale, Chapel-en-le-Frith, New Mills, Birch Vale and Hayfield.
May is a special time for me this year, as its exactly a year since, we first viewed our new house, and we were in the process of moving which took over 8 weeks, however it was good to see the light at the end of the tunnel, since we had been trying to move since November 2013.
While we were waiting to exchange contracts, I received a puppy visit enquiry and despite being rather busy, the prospect of meeting two jet black cockapoo puppies, a stone throw from my potential new house, was too much to resist, and as a dog walker pet carer I was very very lucky to take on the beautiful Bobbie and Bridie. As soon as they joined Little Happy Hounds, all the worry, stress etc, that the sale on our new house or the sale on our old house would fall threw, just vanished. I took it as a very good omen and here we are 12 months down the line in our new home in Whaley Bridge and I am still walking the girls.
Both professionally and personally this is a very good time in my life, very happy at the moment!
