Its been a very busy month, for a small business like Little Happy Hounds, future is looking promising for the first time ever I have purchased my new diary for 2016 well in advance, as I have already taken two bookings for January 2016 extra dog walks and a cat sitting gig.
The cat sitting side is #LittleHappyCats is doing very well, I am very fortunate and lucky, to have so many cats on my books, old returning clients, but also each month i keep getting new cat clients, October alone, Dani, Chuck & Little Roo, and Minuit and I have been talking to a lady on the phone who is moving to the area end of October and I will potentially be looking after her two cats in November. At the moment we just started a two week, once a day visit for new cat Dani near Chinley, next week we have Billy, Billy is 16 years old and is the brother of two of my regular dog walking client Amy and Ruby.
Dog walking wise, its been such a lovely autumn, hardly rained, so its mud free, been doing a lot of woodland walks, just to ear the crunch crunching of the fallen leaves as you walk on them and see all the vivid colours of the leaves, browns, reds, yellows, have to say Autumn is one of my favourite seasons I also love spring. As well regular woodland walks in Hayfield, we have had nice walks near my neighbourhood around Taxal and ToddBrook Whaley Bridge and I have lots count how many time we have taken the dogs up Lantern Pike, Birch Vale.
October we also had the pleasure of walking my friends dog Brie a border terrier, I have walked her before, she is a sweetest little doggy very adventurous, she is a border terrier, so I was more than happy to have her join one of our lunch time walks. As well as new faces Brie, our newest client Fern is also doing very well, she is a springer, great doggy we walk her Monday to Friday.
And lastly yes I am happy, more than happy that we now have a young puppy in our pack. Toby the westies new baby sister Mia joined walks last week, yes she is still young but her woners preferred her to join a group walk instead of a toilet puppy visit or a solo walk. So i obviously take great care she is not trampled on my hounds, but I have to say the dogs are great with her, she is a feisty little thing so not at all over whelmed, she has a puppy sling, and when i think she has had enough walking, much against her will, I carry her, I have say the system worked very well last week. She rides shot gun in the LHH-MOBILE on the passenger seat, she has a harness on and I have a seat belt clip thing so she is securely fastened, as i prefer not to use a van or cages, she would have had to be crated up, I have dog car crates at home, so i think this is the best method for her, she is sat up on the way to the walk and then curls up and snoozes on her way home. The last puppy i cared for recently was a older puppy six months old, George so it had been a while since i cared for a dog so young, but it was fine, I love that I have a bond with her from a young age, like Ffin, Bobbie, Bridie, Betty, Oscar, Jabba and Fritz, all my clients from being young pups.
