day out in New Mills.

 Little Happy Hounds,

cat sitting, pet sitting and dog walker are proudly based in New Mills High Peak Derbyshire.

With a great little town centre, lots of nice walks, great surrounding villages like Rowarth, Whaley Bridge, Furness Vale, Hayfield and Chinley, its a great place to live but also to visit for the day.

The town centre now has a new vegetarian cafe ‘Pulse’ on Union Road, we now have a small Sainburys, and a brillinat Grocers called Doc Greens also on Union Road.

Other notable businesses are Priscilla’s Cards on Market Street, and the actual market a bit further a long which has another great card shop and a pet shop.

We also have a number of brilliant dog friendly pubs close by, the white lion on the A6 in neighbouring Disley, The Sportsman Inn on Kinder Road Hayfield, and The Navigation Inn situated on the Bugsworth Basin, Buxworth.

Walking.

Wether you fancy a walk in Lyme Park Disley Cheshire, or a huge walk up Kinder Scout or Big Stone you can do it all from New Mills. New Mills is also near Whaley Bridge & The Goyt Valley another great place to go walking.

The Torrs Riverside Park for example if you start at the waterside road carpark in Hague Bar, you can follow the path through Hague Bar Meadow, into Martins Wood, and into Mousley Bottom, this then connects to The Torrs a huge park at the bottom of the gauge with the town almost split in tow high up on the cliffs connected by a series of bridges. The Bridges in the Torrs are worth a look amazing victorian egineering, both The Union Road Bridge, and The Queens Bridge there is also a very impressive weir where the sett river merges with the Goyt.
