The last two days I have taken Lucy my daycare client and Scrappy on local walks near my house in New Mills Derbyshire.
Yesterday, we got onto the canal off Woodside Street, headed into Goytside Meadows, we then came out at Goytside Farm then followed the track that leads into the Torrs Riverside Park.
After crossing the millennium bridge you eventually get to Mousley Bottom passed the few houses that are down there and head into the woods, we then got to Hague Bar Meadow, were despite the snow and cold weather Lucy the lab decided to paddle in the river Goyt which was quite a surprise as I have never seen her go into a river.
Once we she had finished entertaining us we did the whole walk their in reverse and popped into Carr Farm to pick up some eggs.
Today we pretty much did the same at first we headed in Goytside Meadow, then went back up to the canal via Nannies Knick, and followed the canal down passed Furness Vale, we then went through waterside farm up to Dolly Lane walked along dolly lane onto Marsh lane passed Gow Hole Farm and eventually back to Goytside meadows.
There are a lot of nice paths, nice meadows and woods around New Mills it’s a great place to walk your dogs.
